RWRA Membership Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern membership of the Rivonia Wide Residents Association (RWRA), a voluntary and Public Benefit Organisation and Non-Profit Residents' Association, Company Registration Number 2024 / 533175 / 08, operating within its designated geographic area of Ward 106, Rivonia, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

1. Membership Eligibility

1.2 Applicants must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when applying for membership and agree to notify RWRA of any material changes.

1.3 RWRA reserves the right to approve or decline membership applications at its sole discretion, acting reasonably and in the interests of the community.

2. Membership Fees

2.1 Membership fees, where applicable, are set annually by the RWRA Executive Committee and approved in accordance with RWRA's constitution.

2.2 Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable unless otherwise determined by the committee.

2.3 Failure to pay membership fees by the due date may result in suspension or termination of membership and associated benefits.

6. Code of Conduct

6.2 Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or unlawful conduct—whether in person or online—will not be tolerated.

6.3 Breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of membership.

7. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity

7.1 RWRA is a voluntary association and does not provide guarantees regarding safety, security, service delivery, or outcomes of community initiatives.

7.2 Members participate in RWRA activities, meetings, and initiatives at their own risk.

7.3 To the extent permitted by law, RWRA, its committee members, and volunteers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from participation in RWRA activities.

7.4 Members indemnify RWRA against claims arising from their own unlawful, negligent, or unauthorised actions.

8. Termination & Suspension of Membership

8.1 Membership may be terminated by a member at any time by providing written notice.

9. Amendments

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
